Essential beauty guide for the busy mommy

I was the person that never left the house without at least eyebrows dusted and eyeliner drawn. But juggling between balancing a spitty-uppy baby in one arm and packing diapers in the other, something had to give. And often, it's mommy's looks.

However, much can be said about boosting a woman's confidence with just a touch of something that makes them feel good, pretty, even normal (if that was your routine). Here are some of my personal tried and true faves for quick and simple beauty.

1. Multi-function is your best friend. For full face coverage, Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer is my go-to. No more layers of makeup that takes forever. This has moisturizer, foundation, and sunblock all in one. It goes on super smooth and light.

2. When you have 5 minutes to shower at night or get ready for bed, easy makeup removal is key. Blinc Eyeliner is a liquid eyeliner that goes on smooth and rubs off like dried latex. It doesn't flake and you can easily rub off with a little wet tissue. Your delayed crows feet eyes will thank you.

3. No time to get a color match? No worries. NARS Blush in Orgasm to the rescue! There's a reason everyone swears by this. It matches all skin tones, goes on very light that gives you just enough color to not scream 'haven't slept in 4 months'.

4. Lipstick? Lip gloss? Chapstick? Seriously. Multi-function. Is. Best. Friend. SUGAR lip treatment by Fresh in Rosé is a tinted lip moisturizer that has just enough tint to give you a healthy color while protecting and reparing your lips. Plus it's pretty darn healthy that kissing your baby won't be worrisome.

1. I've always been taught to treat your eyes with the utmost TLC. Skin around your eyes are the easiest to damage leading to droopy and wrinkly eyelids. Mamas all know we don't need more damage to your restless eyes. Lancome's Bi-Facil is by far the best eye makeup remover I have used. And I've used many. Drench a cotton pad with it, hold it for 5 seconds on your eyes, and gently swipe off. Reserve this for the fancy nights when you are busting out the eyeshadows *gasp!*

2. Women, please take care of your skin. Someone once told me washing your face with makeup on is like showering with your clothes on. Wipe that tinted moisturizer off! Neutrogena Make Up Remover are so convenient and you really can't get any lazier than this.

3. Christy Brinkley said she exfoliates every day because she realized men have beautiful skin because they shave every day. Truth. Every couple days, I treat myself to a little Clarisonic goodness to slough off all that dead skin for those mornings when a splash of water is all I can afford to my face before tending to a hungry bebeh. It takes 2 minutes.

4. And finally, face cream. The one thing I will use day and night if I'm only going to be interacting with baby and my poor husband who has to view upon this tired face at the end of his day. Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream is the no-frills no gimmick no nonsense cream that I go to. Morning or night, doesn't matter. Does it treat my wrinkles, whiten my skin, make me look younger? heck I don't know, it doesn't say. It keeps my skin from cracking and breakouts at bay. That's all I need.

After having a baby, everything is K.I.S.S. {Keeping It Sweet & Simple}
